Neal Patel serves as the Communications Director and Counsel for Dr. Charles Boustany, a U.S. Representative for Louisiana’s 3rd congressional district. In this role, Patel provides advice on important international issues such as liquefied natural gas exportation. He also supports the congressman in his role as House Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee Chairman.
Patel also developed and coordinated Dr. Boustany’s 2012 campaign messaging, including the building of a rapid response website to help voters get information on important issues. He was also responsible for grassroots outreach, media outreach and coalition building.
Prior to his work with Dr. Boustany, Patel served as Communications Director for Joe Wilson, the U.S. Representative for South Carolina’s 2nd congressional district, and was an Associate at the Hudson Legal Group – Compliance Group, in Charlotte, NC. He holds a juris doctor degree from the Charleston School of Law and a B.S. in Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
