About the Honors Performance Series
Whether you’re a sixth grade performer who shows great promise or are gearing up to finish your high school musical career, the instrumental and choral opportunities available through the Honors Performance Series allow you to take the stage at an internationally renowned performance venue, experience both musical and personal growth, and enjoy spending time with and learning from peers who share your passion.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
In middle school, being a musician is all about honing your craft and becoming a better singer or instrumentalist. What better way is there to learn than to join a group of talented peers and study with a master conductor? The Middle School Honors Performance Series is the perfect forum for dedicated student musicians to showcase their skills, advance to the next level, and make new friends in the process!
HIGH SCHOOL
The High School Honors Performance Series selects students from an international pool of applicants to rehearse and perform under master conductors on two of the world’s greatest stages. When not preparing for their once-in-a-lifetime performance at the Stern Auditorium/Ronald O. Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall or the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, students experience the best of the sights and performing arts in New York City and Sydney, Australia. By completing this program, you are eligible to receive college credit from George Mason University.
