"NYLF Medicine helped me focus on a career path by showing me where to go and how to accomplish it"

Avani’s NYLF Medicine experience solidified her future path in the medical field. She plans on majoring in Chemistry in college, with hopes of one day being an OBGYN, fertility specialist or successful in a career in the sports medicine field. A current high school student, Avani is an active member of Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) and enjoys playing softball.

What is the most memorable moment of your program experience?

Making life-long relationships.
How was attending the program different than learning in a traditional classroom?

It was VERY hands on.
How has your program experience helped you focus on a career path?

It showed me where to go and how to accomplish it.
Where do you hope to go to college in a few years?

I want to do my undergraduate studies at either University of Miami or Georgia Tech, and medical school at Emory University.
How has your program experience impacted your life and your future?

It showed me my pathway to the career I want to do.
