Turn your passion for food into passion for life.
The CIA Culinary Academy provides a special opportunity for high school students to have the collegiate experience at The Culinary Institute of America and gain important skills to prepare for a number of future career paths in the diverse culinary field. Whether you dream of being an accomplished chef or simply want to see the different ways you can succeed in the world of food, this program will help you on the way to accomplishing your goals.
In the CIA’s kitchens, you’ll learn and practice key culinary skills in cooking, baking, and pastry arts while exploring the Mediterranean diet and cuisine. Outside of the kitchen, you’ll cover key principles related to business management, sustainable farming, and more. During the CIA Culinary Academy, you’ll also have access to both alumni and current students who will share their experiences and courses of study, to give you a complete picture of life as a CIA student.
Additionally, you'll explore the local culture and sample the cuisine of major foodie destinations—San Francisco or San Antonio. You'll leave the program with new friendships, inspirational memories, and industry knowledge that will help guide you along your chosen professional path.
