In today’s workforce, the Digital Age has created an intense environment of growing competition. There are crucial academic behaviors such as motivation, social engagement, and self-regulation that are needed more than ever in order to prepare our students for the challenges of the 21st century workplace. This is why companies, like Envision, where we offer career exploration programs that enable our students to experience hands-on activities, leverage ACT Engage to provide our future leaders with the opportunity to assess and discover their real-world skills.
At Envision, we administered ACT Engage assessments to our middle school students attending our experiential summer programs with the mission being to prepare them to thrive as productive members of society. The assessment test was converted into a successful Case Study featuring the results of the Road Map to Readiness and is available for download here.
The overarching objective is to prepare our students by establishing a clear path for them to set goals early on and provide them with an environment to develop and achieve them. That’s the operating philosophy behind Envision’s programming, which helps students analyze their interests and turn them into career trajectories.
The key is to enable our students to be exposed to and understand the social and emotional skills needed for college and career success. The assessment acts as a road map to success focused on academic behavioral skills that act as a “personal GPS” that will guide our leaders in envisioning their futures.
